Real Estate, COVID-19, and You

Change is the only thing that remains constant, right?

Well this virus has certainly changed the way we all operate these days, and our hearts and prayers go out to those affected by the current pandemic.  A special thank you to those on the front lines keeping us safe and our cabinets well-stocked.

Despite the current chaos, the real estate market remains active.  According to Missouri Realtors CEO John Sebree, nearly 12,500 transactions are currently pending in Missouri representing close to $3 Billion in economic impact on our state.  We know that Boone County plays a big role in that activity and South County Realty remains committed to our community and committed to our craft.  We consistently remain a leader in our market thanks to our dedicated agents who work tirelessly to navigate new marketing techniques to cater to you as buyers and sellers.  A few things haven’t changed about the way we do business, but a few things have.

  • Banks & title companies are considered essential businesses. This means that current transactions will continue to move towards closing! We have lenders that are working hard for our buyers to get them into new homes.  Are you interested in looking at houses after being indoors for a while?  Call us and we can connect you with a lender that will make sure you are ready!

  • In-person showings are limited, but virtual showings are a great and growing tool to check out new homes. Have a question about a property?  Let’s talk face-to-face (virtually of course) and discuss!  We are still here to answer questions and share all the details we can.

  • Contracts and listing documents can be signed electronically, and we work closely with our title company partners to provide cutting edge and up to date technology for remote closings.

  • Interest rates remain at historic lows making now an incredible time to talk about buying and selling.

And let’s not forget what we all can do for our community….here are just a few ways we can all help:
